Thibaud Hug De Larauze

Co-founder & CEO/ Comex member

Thibaud spent his 5 years of business school traveling the globe, between France, Toronto, Mexico, Spain and India for his studies, then Haiti on a break to build schools. Upon his return to France, Thibaud joined the Neteven company, where for 3 years he supported refurbishing factories on the development of their distribution on the web. It was during this professional experience that he realized the know-how of these factories and the fabulous opportunity presented by the refurbishing. The Back Market project was born.

Quentin Le Brouster

Co-founder & Former Chief Technology Officer

Quentin grew up in Houlgate, Normandy and studied computer science at the universities of Caen and Paris Diderot, where he received a Msc. in Network connectivity and Internet. After graduating Quentin joined Neteven as a lead developer, where he met Thibaud and went on to found Back Market. Quentin is known in the developer’s community for his Spider-Man-like agility and relentless focus on quality. As a full-stack engineer, Quentin developed the core of Back Market’s proprietary technology and designed it for great scalability.

Vianney Vaute

Co-founder & Former Chief Creative Officer

Vianney spent his formative years in Fontainebleau, studied liberal arts in Versailles, and received a Masters degree in Digital Media from La Sorbonne in Paris. Following that royal path Vianney spent the first part of his career advising corporations and tech start-ups on their brand and marketing strategies. At BETC, Vianney was known for his Don Draper-esque ability to create powerful brand messages that catapulted his clients’ businesses to new heights. Vianney is behind Back Market’s cult-like brand following and still spends most of his days regaling our growing fan base.

Clément Petit

Chief Financial Officer

Clément has been CFO of Back Market for over two years. He began his career in 2009 in an investment bank within the merger and acquisition department of Crédit Agricole, then joined Elanco, the subsidiary of an American pharmaceutical group to create the finance function of the French entity. In 2018, he took on a new challenge: structuring the financial team of the Vente Privée group (Veepee).

Dawn Baker

Chief Technology Officer

Dawn has a successful record of selling, managing, and advising technology businesses ranging from startups to Fortune 500 firms. Her functional expertise spans all layers of the technology stack and includes software engineering, tools development and automation, data center operations, systems and database operations, network and content optimization. Throughout her career, Dawn has led organizations including Google, Fitbit, LinkedIn and others through transformational change, converting the most difficult customers into loyal and lucrative clients, accelerating growth by designing robust and scalable systems and work processes, and managing teams large and small to achieve next level performance.

Amandine Durr

Chief Product Officer

Amandine has over 10 years of experience in B2B and B2C product management and is passionate about building scalable products and organizations. Before becoming the chief product officer at Back Market, Amandine was the chief product officer at We Are TV in New York, where she later became CEO of the company. Her previous experience in product management spans across fields including e-commerce, communities, digital content & entertainment, ad tech and payment solutions. Her career in product management began at Daily Motion, the global video streaming service, where she spent over 4 years.

Raoul Costa de Beauregard

Chief Operation Officer

Raoul is an experienced leader in International Business Consulting and Ecommerce. In September 2018, he joined Back Market as Chief Operating Officer overseeing quality and sales including global merchant operations and customer service. He continues to drive the company’s global expansion goals by finding the best suppliers in new markets, and constantly evaluating the experience for both the merchants and the end-customer. Prior to Back Market, he worked at Amazon with their emerging projects and operations, as well as several international business consultancies. Raoul holds Master’s degrees from Cornell University and Ecole Centrale Paris, and a Bachelor’s degree from Université Paris Sud.

Martin Huegli

Chief Commercial Officer

Martin Huegli is the Chief Commercial Officer at Back Market where he leads regional growth and expansion strategies as well as the global seller ecosystem to ensure the highest quality verified refurbished technology for customers around the world. Martin joined Back Market in 2020 as General Manager for Germany before being promoted to General Manager for Europe.
Prior to Back Market, Martin served as Head of Business Development at Audible, Amazon’s audio books division. He also previously held leadership positions in technology and e-commerce companies in the US and EU including Bisnow and SpeakLike.As a finance and strategy expert with a passion for customer service, Martin’s goal is to establish verified refurbished technology as safer, easier, less expensive and more appealing for everyone. He cares strongly about quality, sustainability and accessibility, which are at the core of the Back Market DNA.

Axelle Caharel

VP People

Axelle Caharel has been Vice President of People at Back Market since October 2023 but her Back Makers’ journey began in 2020 when she joined as a People Partner Manager. Before Back Market, Axelle held pivotal roles at Zadig & Voltaire as an HR Development Manager and at Morgan Philipps as a Sales and Marketing Recruitment Consultant. Her diverse background and expertise have equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of human resources and organizational development. Axelle is a distinguished alumna of ESG (Paris), where she earned a Master’s degree in Resources Management, and the University Pablo de Olavide (Sevilla), where she obtained a Master’s degree in Social Law. With her strategic vision and unwavering commitment to fostering a thriving workplace culture, Axelle Caharel continues to drive Back Market’s success forward.

Marie Castelli

Head of Public Affairs

Marie Castelli has dedicated her career to building the right legislative framework for sustainability to thrive in Europe. After a first experience as a consultant, she spent almost 10 years working on the transition to electric mobility, first for Avere- France and then for Tesla. Convinced economic growth can match climate and planetary ressources preservation, she decided to dedicate her expertise to the fight for a more circular economy. She has been heading the public affairs team of Back Market since 2021

Kewin Charron

Senior Lead Refurbishment Operations Manager EU

As a passionate tech enthusiast, Apple expert, and staunch advocate for the right to repair, Kewin has dedicated his career to making a meaningful impact in the technology industry by prolonging the life of our devices.

Having spent the last five years leading Back Market’s Innovation Lab, He has set up robust quality processes as well as enhanced testing and refurbishment protocols to help refurbishers across the world develop new and effective techniques. This experience gives him deep insight into the nuts and bolts of the devices we all use every day, whilst expanding his understanding of how the tech industry works.

Prior to joining Back Market, Kewin was a General Store Manager for an Apple Premium Reseller for over 12 years. This cemented his enthusiasm for understanding how we can make tech last longer.

Luis De Los Santos

Senior Refurbishment Operations Manager

Luis has been Senior Refurbishment Operations Manager in the US since March 2024. Before this, Luis worked in multiple positions at Apple, as a Lead Genius and as a Software Quality Engineer, from 2017 to 2024. Luis holds an Associate’s degree in Business Administration and Management from LaGuardia Community College (NY), completed in 2017.
