    I wasn’t sure about this online used electronics situation but honestly, I got an excellent laptop for a very good price. It works so well. I’m a grad student and do a lot of GIS and heavy graphics work. Normally I’m priced out of getting a machine that has anything beyond the basic capabilities needed. Getting a refurbished laptop was a win win win, and as a bonus I didn’t have to feed the exploitative and genocidal industry behind new batteries and electronics. If you’re on the fence, my suggestion is go for it.

    I am impressed, as I always am, at the value per dollar to be found on Back Market. The Dell XPS series is the most premium ultrabook series of Dell laptop, outside of anything that would be considered a gaming laptop. So if you’re looking for a Dell laptop for anything other than gaming, a used XPS laptop is probably your best bet.

Is Lenovo or Dell Better?

Ooofff, that’s a hard one. Lenovo and Dell are known for making some of the best quality and most durable refurbished Windows laptops, but to be honest, it’s really a matter of preference when trying to choose between these two brands. Lenovo laptops tend to have a more utilitarian design, while Dell laptops are generally sleeker and use more premium materials. But to be honest, you can’t go wrong with either one.

Is a Used Dell XPS Better than a Used MacBook Pro?

Both a used Dell XPS and used MacBook Pro with similar specs from the same model year will give you very similar performance. The used Dell XPS will probably be much cheaper though, since used Apple laptops tend to hold their resale value for longer when compared to competing Windows laptops.
